A small hardy tree, known for its medicinal value and mystical associations. The dark green foliage matures to deep purple, red in autumn. Purple stalked pink buds opening to white flower followed by purple berries.
Famous for Elderflower cordial and Elderberry wine. Prefers sun & lime rich moist soil but will grow most anywhere. Benefits from pruning.
